Sad news that 3 perished in a crash of a Rutair (International AirLink) flight from MoBay to KGN last Thursday during a storm.
I realize there are probably many more car fatalities in JA. This is likely to be a big hit to the domestic air carriers there. I believe TimAir and International AirLink are the two main (only?) carriers and TimAir seemed a bit more stable (financially and # of aircraft-wise).
If another pilot and an aircraft mechanic were the passengers, it is a decent guess they may have been taking the aircraft to Kingston for maintenance.
Or perhaps ferrying it back to Kingston.
