When I first started traveling to Jamaica U.S. passports weren't required. Then the law changed, Homeland Security, etc. So I got a passport.
Now that passport is set to expire (after 10 years) so I just checked into getting it renewed only to learn there's something called a Passport Card ($30) now that is good for travel in Canada, Mexico, and the Carribbean so I apparently won't need an expensive Passport Book ($110) to continue visiting Jamaica. Big Ups to the government.
