Hey OT, now for some reason I can't reply to the previous thread... weird stuff.
But yeah, I'm all organic as well. I have a different approach to drying/curing though; first is I do not trim anything beyond the big fan leaves. Everything else stays on the stalk until it is dry, and ready to begin curing. This does a couple things; slows down the drying time, I usually aim for about three weeks drying time with 60 degree temps, and 60% rh. If I can't keep temps below 65, then I hang whole plants. Let them hang (I like very minimal airflow, for a slow, even dry) until stems get "snappy", then break it down and jar it (or sometimes Turkey Bags if I'm dealing with a lot, or food grade buckets work too).
As to curing time, for me it really depends on the strain, and the terpene makeup of the plant. For most things from the Chem family, I actually prefer them with a month or so cure. Same goes for OG's, Sour Diesel, things like that. But for my equatorial/tropical/sativa stuff, I generally go for a long cure. But some strains just don't store well, as certain terpenes evaporate at room temps, and then the flavor is basically gone. Afghani's, Paki's, things like that usually cure and store well, as do the tropical types... usually. Tons of nuance to it though, so I try to avoid black/white rules.
