I 1st came to Jamaica in the winter of 66-67 .If you add up all the time I have worked there your talking 15-16 years .I 1st saw Negril in Nov 1966 . We travelled all over the island . Backroads , front roads and everything in between . All up to Cockpit Country , across the Alps from Santa Cruz to The Duncans on the north shore ALL !!!!! in a little VW .Negril doesn't even resemple what it was like then , Red Ground was so much fun . The east end of Jamaica was where all the action was back then .Rafting on the Rio Grande beside a load of bananas , exploring ever where without a care in the world . Didn't have to be on your A game all the time . We would go to Trenchtown and not worry about a thing . Lots of stuff to do rather than sitting in a bar , shit faced by noon although that has happened .... hehehe Biggest mistake I made was taking my family there one winter . DIASTER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! is all I can say .The piece of land I bought in Newell ( TB) was in 1968 and sold it in 2016 .If I had to pick a place to live I would say TB . But not now because of the lack of health care .
