TY, Ohliz, for another report and the flashback. The hills and the 'British colonial style' place reminds me of similar place near Mandeville described in a book I read recently (except the owner was murdered there).
I expected Jamaican Cave Org. to have a report on Gourie Cave, and they do, but actually later than your visit surprisingly (they describe why in the report but note it was mapped at least as early as 1972). Here's a link if you/anyone wish to read what you missed by not going in - kidding, in that I think one needs proper equipment and training for such things.
