Mexico is a HUGE country which I LOVE. We used to own a cabin in Baja California not to far from Tijuana. I love South of Cancun such as Playla del Carmen, Tulum, Coba, and Akumal. Cabo San Lucas is touristy but lovely place to chill just 2 hours flight from San Diego. I have been to Acapulco and Puerata vallarta and love the cruise stop in Cozumel.
Travel from the north coast to Negril feels foreign to me. I am used to driving along the north coast with the beautiful blue sea on one side and view of houses the size of Beverly Hill mansions. Negril is pretty 'run down' compared to what you would see in St. Ann and those areas. I like to travel and see things that remind me of home, be in things in the US (McDonalds, Walmart, Starbucks) or yawd in Jamaica ( Reggae, clothes on line, local markets).
I leave for Costa Rica tomorrow but Belize/Roatan/Cozumel cruise in March. Yes, love the elegance and grandure of cruising. I love sitting out on deck looking at the wide open sea and whisper Lord they will be done because dis ooman can hardly swim :-)
