Best interactive is probably the Doobies in a huge bar in Kitchener Ontario called Lulu's in the early 90s shortly after they started touring again. We were sitting at a table within 20 ft. of the stage and it was an incredible party atmosphere.
I bet that was great. The Doobies always put on a high energy show.
They were here the night before Thanksgiving in 1977, and I was there doing my job as a promotion guy. That was a very good show with Pablo Cruise as the warm up, and Hall and Oates showed up backstage and joined the Doobies for a bit on stage. After the show I told the guys I was going to fly up to Duluth to catch their Thanksgiving night show, and they invited me to fly up with them on their Doobieliner. A fan here in Mpls had given Skunk Baxter a really life like puppet of him and he was really having a good time playing with it on the flight, then the guys did a little acoustical jamming. That was a very fun couple of days.
