Yes understood!! I have a very good friend in Aylmer Quebec right outside Ottawa who indicated to me that many Canadian doctors have migrated to the US for the big bucks and as such it can be difficult getting to see good Doctors in Canada. But I understand your point about health care in Jamaica being as it is. Especially if one has any sort of serious condition or illness.
Your point about having land verses $$$$ I agree. We own land not far from St. Stephen, NB in DownEast Maine and before Covid had tossed around the idea of maybe selling it. We have 2 sons, 1 grandson and another due in April. Both sons love the Maine property and the grandson's first visit last October he really liked it. Property values in Maine since Covid have gone through the roof but the land has been in the family since 1960 and seemingly will stay that way for many years to come. Having kicked myself too many times for decisions I have made in life that I later regret I don't want that to happen in Maine!! Thanks again for sharing your stories on this forum!!
