We were just a few minutes behine Sophie and Smokey and saw that same horrific accident. People taking pictures/videos, that is what sickens me. You will not see that in the US. Yes there are "gapper blocks" due to "rubber necking" but people don't get out of their cars, go over to a wreck with severly injured or dead people and take photos and videos.
I've seen the video Sophie is speaking of. It is sickening beyond belief. You would have thought it was a street fair, not a deadly car accident. People actually sticking their cell phones in the car to get a "better" shot. That way they can be the "big man" in the yard, the one who took the most gruesome photo.
As for the video of the unfortunate man killed by the jet ski. That is just one sick individual. Is that what they want to remember of Jamaica? Or was it a Jamaican trying to get the street cred for "I was there, look what I saw." I find emphathy in Jamaica lacking.
