In Nova Scotia I pay .12/KWH. I heat with wood and everything else is electric.I pre-heat the hot water with the wood furnace in the winter and my monthly bill for electric is around $75. I have a deep freezer and I could cut my power bill by about $7.50/month if I didn't use it.When some on my kids come here (which is fairly often) they will bring their washing and do maybe 10 loads on a weekend(and showers),so you might as well say I'm paying that in my bill as well. My heat, electric and taxes last year were about $1800 CDN.
