....a US electric bill handy??? Just wondering how much is charged per KH in the US?

Here in central Ohio I have AEP.

Last month (October) I used 463 kwh. Bill is $56. So I pay 12 cents per kwh including all the taxes and fees and such.

October is about the lowest electric bill of the year for me...no AC running, not much heat either. Highest bill is summer - in July I used 1300 kwh.

My hot water, oven/stove and heat are all gas, and that bill can be a doozy in winter, over $300 some months. My electric is just for A/C, lights, fridge, computer, etc.

Last month I used 351 kWh and my total bill was $50.04 in Los Angeles. So the math is $0.1425...

In Nova Scotia I pay .12/KWH. I heat with wood and everything else is electric.I pre-heat the hot water with the wood furnace in the winter and my monthly bill for electric is around $75. I have a deep freezer and I could cut my power bill by about $7.50/month if I didn't use it.When some on my kids come here (which is fairly often) they will bring their washing and do maybe 10 loads on a weekend(and showers),so you might as well say I'm paying that in my bill as well. My heat,electric and taxes last year were about $1800 CDN.

lol OT my taxes are $3800.00 no wonder East is poor compared to Ontario.

Nova Scotia isn't poor...hehehe.. there is lots of work for the workers and the bums draw welfare.I live on 50 acres on the Northumberland Strait. I got her beat !!!! this is a BEAUTIFUL !!!!! place to live.
