Kylake, pinning on Windows 7 doesn't function for me as you suggest it should, and I can not edit it either. I won't go into details.
This paragraph is unique to my machine and has never been mentioned and does not/may not have a bearing on anything:
If the url has the www. in front, it says I am not logged on. Probably cookie related as I've never logged in under http://www.jamaicans.net, only jamaicans.net.
If I use the exact URL TAH suggested, I get two choices: forum or archives and have to pick one from the screen:
https://jamericans.net/yellowboard/
IF I use the longer URL (with or without the S), I end up where I expect:
https://jamericans.net/yellowboard/forumdisplay.php?fid=3
The archives option is the one line:
Archives 3,959 16,653 KFC in Jamaica ....
I have been calling the screen with that line the 'archieves page.'
People might be having problems posting anything. DT's original snag was when he clicked on: reply. He, and me sometimes, sees that 'archives ....' line.
One has to assume he is logged on since reply-button won't show up otherwise.
Nothing will get fixed until we isolate the problem more.
I agree that my steps might confuse people. However, to initially get onto the board, I click on my blank address bar and the 10 most popular url's show up. In my case, http://jamaicans.net/.... is the only history item, but yea, I can add the full prefix "https colon slash slash" after the menu has appeared.

To bring up an old, odd fluke, when I enter URL's into the post, different things happen if I'm here via HTTP and HTTPS. I consider this bug/fluke "a feature."
I have edited this post so many times. The 6 guests here now are probably confused. Why don't they register, and post something?
