"Going on a trip where you need to stay behind a locked gate and 100 dogs as an alarm system isn't my idea of a good time."
I agree - that would suck, for me at least. Some people like staying within the All Inclusive walls for a variety of reasons - some for safety and for my friends that enjoy it - for the convenience. I had a friend come down in January - spent 5 nights with us in the yard then 5 nights at Grand Lido to enjoy Government Mule (which we did as well, 2 of the 4 shows at least). Once at Grand Lido he enjoyed what it had to offer - sailing around the bay, lounging on the beach...and of course good ol' rock n roll. He didn't prefer one experience to another - greatly enjoyed both. Oh - and no dogs at any AI at least that I know of
Gerry, "displaying" a gun is MUCH different than being gunned down-which, as I understand is what the "fear" is that others are talking about. I was with friends at MiYard many years ago - one of those friends got a little drunk and into a kerfuffle with a bad boy, who opened his jacket and displayed a gun. That didn't end the kerfuffle. Its how I met my dear friend and driver Niah who "saved" the day.
