Disagree. That's exactly when it should be done in order to teach the children that kind of behavior is unacceptable, and to teach them how to defend themselves against that behavior. My children are schooled in getting real loud, real fast and then to reinforce their message if necessary, by any means necessary.
I'm not talking domestic violence and then make up the next day, I'm talking shut it down. Mi nah play, enuh.
I agree with you Goldie. When my daughter and our Jamaican friend were walking on the beach at 11 years old, I would have the Jamaican teenage boys looking their way. I could read their mind and tell them 'put yer eyes back in yer head and don't even bother'... I have taught my daughter how to walk and move facety on the road when I am not with her as well.
I agree with Macy, it's unfortunate it is this way, but it is what it is, so need to teach the girls about it. No different, then here when my daughter goes away for the weekend with her friends family and I say 'make sure you are always in pairs'. Yup crime happens here too.
