A 15-year-old Westmoreland girl remains hospitalised from a bullet wound she received during a dispute between her father and a gunman on Tuesday night, Boxing Day.
The teen, who is from the Negril area in the parish, is said to be in serious, but stable condition at this time.
Police reports indicate that, at about 6:30 pm, the girl was at home with her father in White Hall, Negril, when an argument developed between him and another man.
It is alleged that, during the dispute, the man pulled a gun and fired at the teen’s father, who ran to escape serious injury.
However, during the melee, the teenager was struck by one of the bullets.
The gunman escaped from the scene. Investigators are now conducting a search to locate the man for questioning.
