It is a good tool , marketing wise.
It perturbs me having another line-item (expense) on the ticket, but hey, IF medivac was $25K to Miami, the "repatriation arrangements" might be free or cheaper. At least they mentioned a plane (only 1?) and not that a row boat with oars will be offered. (cheap joke. sorry.)
Some one's daughter is (was) up on Corporate travel insurance. It is good thing to have, now more than ever. Anyone aware if the policy terms/prices have changed during this pandemic?
When I read my policy years ago, I recall that decisions would solely be between JA medical people and the Insurance company; a flight home was not guaranteed.
Having read the story 3 times now, I'm more positive about Bartlett's action***, but still afraid to come out from under my bed covers.
