I have been meaning to do one last post on our trip. Mostly about Point Village and the yard.
Earlier the report I mentioned that PV might not be for everyone but for us it is a good choice. Nice property that is taken care of with a salt pool, snorkeling areas that are now roped off, a pool we have never been in (if I have the ocean I don’t need a pool), 2 small beaches that have never been busy when we have stayed and we like it that way.
Easy to walk the beach at night since it is mostly through AI properties we have never had a problem as long as we don’t go past Our Pastime (after dark).
Cosmos is a short distance by transport and they will pick you up and drop off free from PV as long as you come for a meal. ATM, mini market, craft market and cook shops also within walking distance (as long as you don’t mind walking) I would guess the distance to be about a ½ mile.
Evidently PV also fits the liking of others, as I lament, when we tried to book 105 for our trip next year it was already rented for the dates we have available. Rolf came to the rescue though by finding another room we could rent and “game on” we already have a deposit in for next year. What a really nice person he is to deal with and a great communicator when you need a question answered.
I forgot to mention in the report that on the last night as we were walking back from Our Pastime/Fireman’s Cookpit, we were walking bare foot in the sand, and in the sand, just as we were about to walk through the fence from the CO beach to enter the PV yard something stung my foot. It was really painful and I flew home with a foot swelled to the point of barely fitting in my shoe.
I thought it might have been a small scorpion but really don’t have a clue what it was, my foot stayed swelled for a week but only painful a couple of days.
