Sunday and Monday the day we left.
Well after the fishing trip on Saturday we returned to our boring lives. Sunday was are last full day and we simply stayed on the beach at PV all day long with the exception of me taking a boat ride late afternoon with Carlton and Devon to a bar to toast the fish we caught on Saturday.
Just before sunset Beth and I walked down to Our Pastime to see Fireman. He was busy putting the finishing touch on building a bonfire. The birthday party for the lady that owns Our Pastime was being celebrated for a second day (since Saturday evening was a washout with lingering rain).
I asked if he could cook the marlin I had brought and of course the answer was affirmative. Once that was established we grabbed a couple of beers and walked the beach for a while and when we returned visited with Pablo the fruit vendor and some friends we had made that were from the UK.
The food was served and it was a huge meal with marlin and some lobster. He also cooked more of the marlin for other folks there including the lady that owns OP (never really was introduced to her so I don’t know her name). After everyone had pretty much finished their meal the bonfire was lit and it was a really nice one and a great way to end our evening.
As we were about to leave I asked Fireman what we owned him and he said nothing since we brought the meat. Of course I tipped him anyway and it was late and concerned for our safety he offered to walk us back to PV. Although we didn’t take him up on the offer, it was really nice of him to offer.
Other than an uneventful transfer (I like uneventful transfers) and the flight back that was the end of our vacation. We flew back to Orlando via Air Tran and it was absolutely the easiest check in process at MBJ we have ever experienced even though we could not use the kiosk for a boarding pass.
I will have one more posting/installment after this one, mostly Point Village pictures.
