The duty-free alcohol shops in MBJ now offer tamperproof bags for their products. As long as the bag's seal is not broken you can carry that bag and its contents thru security for your onward flight. You do not need to place those bottles in you luggage before rechecking them for you onward flight.
Now, you have to ask for the bags otherwise you get the box packaging which you do have to place in your luggage before rechecking.
