Going to Rastapher place, just hangin out - Markospoon - 12-16-2010

It was night, we had finished some brews and Ras was ready to call it a night.
Ok, mi friend, what's up for tomorrow, I said.
Well, i have alot of painting to do.
Come on by.

Sure, I'll stop by.
"you don't have to paint, just come keep me company.

No problem mon.
See you tomorrow.

That morning I woke up, had breakfast at Coletta's I think.
These days were starting to mix together by then.

Oh, yeah, to Ras's place.
Hmmm, I know he's hard at work.
Let me think.
He doesn't have any furniture, he probably did not make it to the store yet, so....

I call over one of the hotel employees.
This guy always makes an Ice run for me.

The kitchen was closed this trip, but he goes and gets large bags of ice for me whenever I want it.

I still had 1/2 a case a beer left. so I stocked it up with about 7 brews.
Poured the ice on top and struggled to zip it all the way up.
Got it!

We will need some sounds, so I had my laptop all charged up and ready to go.

In my music library i have all the cool tunes.
R&B, Soul, Jazz, Classic Rock, Reggae, you name it, i got it.

I know he doesn't have any furniture, so thank goodness I keep an umbrella chair at my mom's house.
So I called one of my handy Andy Taxi drivers and we headed up into the hills.

Yeah, mon, mi know the area mon.
(famous last words)
So we were on our way, The driver knew the area, but I could not remember how to get to his house.
Ring, ring,
Hello?, hey Markospoon, where you at?
Man, I'm in tree city, how the "blank" do i know where I am?
Here's my driver.
So I listened to the driver listen to Ras with an explanation on how to get to his house.

Cool, cool, I got it mon. Bye.

Afater a while, things started to look funny.
Man, I think we are going the wrong way.

The driver just looked at me and said nothing.
Personally, I hate to just keep going and going and going.
Maybe the wrong way.
Stop here man, this feels wrong.
Ring, ring.
Yo, this is Mark's driver again.
They chatted a while, the driver hung up and said that he was going the right way all the time!
Ok, Ok, just checking.

Soon we saw a fork in the road, we made the left fork and up a hill, around a bend, back down a dip, over a gravely road then down the lane.
Whew!

Soon I see him.
That's Ras, my main man!

We pulled over and I started to unload my gear.
Holy ----, what's all that Ras said.

Dude, I use to be a Boy scout, one must be prepared.
LOL

Ras had been hard at work, paint was going up and looking good.
There were 2 J guys there working on cement and painting one of the rooms.

I set up shop in the other bedroom.
Mark, I must turn on the electricity for you.
Man, I was right.
RAs was working and living like an old time Jamaican.
Nothing plugged in, no cold brews, no chairs.

But he did have a bottle of water.

Good thing I came ready.
Very soon, I had the tunes bumpin,
the brews were nice and frosty
and I situated my umbrella chair in just the right place to gaze out the living room window with a nice view of the Sea.

Man, this is nice now, just wait until your house is done!

So I walked around, taking another tour of the grounds.
a Lot of work yet to be done, but you can already tell that Ras has a wonderful home.

Hey Mark, thanks for coming by Ras said.

Yeah man, I can't leave my boy high and dry.
No problem.
