So after 25 years of working in our family business, I turned in my resignation!! So many things affected this decision--the past 5 years have been a real bitch (death of loved ones, serious illness) like many that have gone through this stuff and survived, you re-evaluate your life and know what is really important. Didn't have the "exit plan" totally developed like I had hoped when I started seriously considering doing this...just ended up writing the big R letter and giving it to my brother boss. Many things to work out as far as company junk, but I love going into work now, listening to all the petty problems and think "it is no longer going to be my problem--someone else figure it out" of course, I am smiling nicely at the employee and pretending to care.

Before I figure out I shouldn't have done this, don't have money (should have talked to financial man and attorney sooner, I know LOL ) I am going back "home" hopefully for 6-8 weeks.

BEWARE--I am going to track down those of you that are down there during that time and meet you!!!!!!!
