THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS.

Back in February I mentioned this somewhere else and was basically called a liar. The last four days we were in Negril we had a trickle - my neighbors on the West End have barely had water since then.

The purpose of my original post was to ask folks to conserve best they can - treat it like any other water scarce area you visit or live in. Make sure housekeeping KNOWS not to change your linens each day, re-use towels, don't ask staff to do laundry for you etc.

The problem with the water in Negril is that the fairly new (20 years old at most) system is outdated and development has gone unchecked.

I hope something is done to update the system soon but I'm not holding my breath - the costs are huge.
