Over the last 10 days there has been a noticeable increase in tourists and 'activity' related insofar as I can see between town and a mile or two along the west end. When I walked to town 2 days ago it was very apparent to me, like WoW! and I have been hearing more evening activity as well, and more winter neighbors are around.

I have no idea what the beach/road activity is like, I haven't been there in a few weeks. (yes Ras, I will try!)

Good to hear Lola....I think Nov. is when many tourists start to trickle back in. I know our reservations are looking much better starting this week & going right into the season....thank you Father!

Last I heard (a week?), the beach was very, very slow. Places closed; people laid off from their jobs; lots of people (not higglers/vendors) beggy, beggy; few tourists. I hope it picks up soon. Life nuh easy mon for many Jamaicans who live in the tourist areas or who depend on jobs in the tourism industry. I'll help the economy in my own way come February. I can only hope things pick up soon.

We just booked our flight yesterday for the first week in December.
Usually we don't wait a month away to book our annual trip but this
year we had to because of my husband's job. Our places that we normally stay were booked so maybe December will be a good month for business. Still managed to find a place to call base camp. I feel really lucky that we can even go this year.
