Morass burning in Negril - Markospoon - 05-17-2011

I just read in the Gleaner that the Morass close to the Water Park has been burning since Saturday.

I was there once when the morass was on fire.

Not nice.

I read that it is the peat that is too dry and fires just start all by themselves.

It was burning pretty bad on saturday. I had a wedding on the beach and thank GOD the wind changed directions just in time for the ceremony and reception because it was not nice. I took some pictures of it as I was going home Sat night- right across from Sandals it was burning bad. Sunday then I had a lot of ash near me in orange bay.
