I know you animal lovers will enjoy this.
The most amazing thing happened on Easter day.

My Niece and her roommate had us over for Easter brunch this year. My sister-in-law was late, it wasn't really like her, it was getting late enough that we were talking about it when the door bell rings. In she walks, wide eyed, looking as if she was in a state of shock. I immediately thought "car accident"

She proceeded to explain "I was driving around the corner, just up the street, when a little white poodle dashed in front of my car"

We were all sure the next line would be "and I ran him over"

Now, Di has been looking for a rescued poodle. She lost her seventeen year old poodle a few months ago. She has also gone through a sad divorce, and a cross country move this year, so she is over-due for a break or two.

Instead of the worst case scenario, she explained that with the help of some Mexican guys who were standing on the corner, she managed to catch the little dog who was running like crazy and get her into the car.

Di actually had a "home visit" planned for early this week with a rescue organization. They found her a white poodle, just like she had been looking for. His name is Teddy and he is mixed with Lab.

Sorry Teddy, I'm sure you'll find another home soon. He would have been a little large for Di to manage anyhow.

Lily (as in Easter Lily) found her new mother. The poor little thing is skin and bones. She was matted worse then anything I had ever seen. You could tell immediately that she has a lovely disposition, and such a pretty little face. The hair that wasn't matted, is as white, as white can be.

We had to bath her right away, she was crawling with fleas. Did you know that Dawn dish liquid will kill fleas? The poor little thing was terrified, but she never once tried to nip.

Today she went to the vet and got all fixed up. She doesn't have a micro chip and needs to be spayed. She is three years old and only weighs eight pounds.

Right now, Di and Lily are happy, full, and cuddling at home.
