On the second day of our trip I started to get tonsilitus. I get if often so I know as soon as the symptoms come one what's ahead. I took a little bit of overproof rum (a cap full)and kind of gurgled it. It burnt, took my breath away and for a few seconds I panicked because I couldn't breath (literally). The next morning I woke up and felt great.
I like to compare the overproof rum to our moonshine.

I always have my dr. write an Rx and I fill it before I leave but from now on I think overproof will be my medicine for tonsilitus. It worked wonders!

Lol, many use it for medicine...it works! It also does a great job at keeping biting insects away....looking at your FB pictures you should of had more overproof. Drinking it and wiping in on my legs in the evening leaves me with almost no bites at the end of my reach. Some of the bush Dr's of sorts that I've met suggest it as well along with their teas to correct whatever ails me.

***JB overproof is suggested instead of W&N, if you have enough......JB makes for a much more pleasant wake up experience (no hang over).
