good works by German national - Sharleen - 02-02-2015 http://www.jamaicaobserver.com/news/Tourist-visits-for-more-than-sun--sea-and-sand_18323814 nice story about someone doing some good work. I definitely LONG to be in JA right now, the weather in NY has been pretty horrid, for sure I won't even be able to get to work today, still snowing hard, really long long driveway & no garage. Thankfully I work at a University with a really liberal policy of being able to not show up when the weather driving-wise is really bad. So today I had my four year old grandaughter Emmie all day long. We call her "the divine Miss M" --she is absolutely beautiful with lovely blue eyes and long eyelashes. It is a great joy to be a grandparent. She is kind of a "bossie" kind of kid.... I was ordered around all day long. Plus she won't let our new puppy Pippa, a rescued puppy from Arkansas in the family room with her. So the puppy barks continuously in her absolutely awfully pitched bark. I long to leave for Jamaica, like tomorrow.... I am totally sick of the COLD and SNOW and SHOVELLING and HAULING FIREWOOD into my house. I absolutely love where I live, a big plot of land & beautiful views but it definitely is horrendous in the winter here in upstate NY. RE: good works by German national - rastagirl777 - 02-02-2015 I'm in Manhattan now and it's "slushing" out there. Yes, "slushing". Harsh reality having been back from Jamaica for less than a week. Good thing I had a couple of days in my garden spot in Bodega where the sun was shining and the temps in the 70's before I had to come east. What you describe is EXACTLY why I moved west 30 years ago. |
