49 civilian casualties were reported during the bombing, of that number 39 were killed by "friendly fire", they were shot as they were running to the base to help.......
What soon followed was the roundup of Japanese-Americans all over the United States........all of this time, German "Fifth Columnists" had been roaming freely all over our soil for a few years by now, and largely forgotten about.........
and it really hasn't stopped since then.....
