Be warm and be safe! If you must go out, walk carefully on the ice, drive slowly, and please be cautious when shoveling yourself out - I have, over the years, lost 2 relatives to heavy snow (shoveling) induced fatal heart attacks.
Hunker down and sit it out if at all possible

Expecting over a foot of snow with sustained 40MPH winds here today in Kansas City. The airport is cancelling most flights. I work at a hospital, so I have to be out and about. I have a great truck for this stuff so no worries about getting around. Right now as I type this the temp is 7 degrees with windchills around 15 below. I am longing to be on your veranda, staring at the ocean right about now.
Thanks for the thoughts. It is really nasty outside right now and only going to get worse over the next two days.
