My girlfriend/wife to be took 5 days and walked from Negril to Treasure Beach In 1981 we walked from Santa Cruz to the Duncan's on the north shore . That took 5 days . never been called Whitey so much in my life . It's not much wonder it's called The Alps . I think that we ate the best meals I've ever had in Jamaica . Beats the heck out of getting shitfaced on the beach .Just like walking through the pages of National Geographic magazine . probably still is today . Oh yes , being young and in great shape didn't hurt either !!!!!!

In March 1980 , I blew the motor on a rental bike outside of Bluefields . I swear I walked most of the way back to Negril , and it took 5 days to get the bike back . Happy New Year one and all !
