Well ,last night was pretty quick . It was a 4 hour steam (travel time ) to Mabou Mines , got hooked up right away , 3 hours to landing , 5 hours to back home .The fish weight was 661lbs ,the offer was $22/lb on the wharf so " young guy " took it . He received $18.50/lb for the 1st fish which was sold on consinment . When you sell on consinment you can follow the fish right to the auction in Japan by way of a number . It sold for $108,500US and " young guy " received $19,400US minus slaughter fees $75 ,packing the fish $150US and broker fees .50cents a lb .I'm putting both fish money into an education fund for my grandchildren .My pay for the 2 fish was about $12,000US . If only there was a way to ship directly to the auction in Japan . If you look it up it is 100% controlled by the Japanese mafia . That sucks !!!!
That's some big cash. How about some photos?
I don't even own a cell phone . Sorry
