Does anyone know the 'reason' why this ugly fence is being built along the road down by the park ? Ive read about it but dont think it ever said why. Such a beautiful view of the ocean along that stretch of road to only now become blocked, thats the reason i dont care for the cliffs, too much zinc and cement walls, not enuf open spots
Which park is getting the fence? If it is by the Long Bay public park, perhaps it is a left over from the Negril Marathon.

Its a different beach park from the marathon, the more southern one, closer to town.
And yeah...I have no idea. All I know is that they had to move the farmer's market from there to the community center parking lot this year.
Now, isn't this the place where that big NYE show is taking place?
Truthfully there's bigger fish to fry here in Negril now that the Breakwater plan has been approved. Its yet another fence along the coast. Sigh. I can so remember how just over 15 years ago you could drive into Negril and see the sea from both the beach road and West End road.
Rumor has it that the fence is being built to house equipment, etc. for the breakwater project!!!
The NYE show is at Wonderland just north of where the fence is going up!!!!
I heard the Breakwater stuff is being staged at Corner Bar....??
