It's pretty strange they didn't name the nightclub or hotel...
Wonder if it Was it Las Vegas??
The Observer had a similar report. Their's omitted the night club theft and focused mostly on an abandoned hotel.

I heard that it was Las Vegas!!!
I assume Rastagirl777 will come on soon to dispute it, because no one ever does anything wrong in Negril, lol.
I also heard it was Vegas, just like Fatty. If I have to pay for my current so should they. I for one am glad they went down the beach checking on the meters and the wiring.
Now now GerryG
Be kind.
Defintely Las Vegas.
Gerry, what an idiotic comment. Idiotic and insensitive. No more than 3 weeks ago my friend and neighbor was shot down dead, in cold blood in his place of business which is VERY close to my yard. But you just keep spewing in the wind....cause you know better - right?

Anyway...power theft is SO nothing new. Take a good look at the utility poles next time you mosey around town, its crazy.
I work in the electric utility industry in the States. Whenever I ride around the island or walk the West End Rd, I take a look at the electric distribution lines and can see that theft is evident. This crackdown is a good thing for the legitimate, paying customers. The reason why the cost of current is so high in Jamaica, is because the good people are covering the cost of electricity that is stolen.
