been back from most recent reach..Didnt get to blue mts but did spend time in st thomas..Spent most time in the yard. My jam partner and I have a small very simple place in the country near cockpit mts-S.trelawny and more exact Deeside/dromlily area...its very green and lush and nearest big town would be about 20min drive to Falmouth..Falmouth-lots of history there,with some amazing old stone structures and cruise ships come in..also a real working town with a great market..
[br

]
[b

Falmouth
I hada good friend that was going to be Negril same time i was on the island-decided to take a trip there and surprise her.Planned on 3 nites and then set out to St Thomas..She was staying at xtabi-they had good deal on there ac rooms near the pool-so we just decide to do the same-Nice big room with
cold ac and balcony (on the other side of main road)..As were driving there we both noticed what a ghost town it was-and i've been to Negril a few times in July and my partner been there since a youth as a woodcarver on the west end(so he very familiar with the place)..I mean it I never saw it so dead..
We went to visit some of his friends, etc and decided to have late lunch at canoe..sitting on the veranda we had nice lunch with rum punch but it was HOT ..I mean sweat just dripping down, un-bearable not a breeze to be found hot..couldnt wait to get back to hotel and go in pool (seas started get a lil yo rough for me)I've never felt heat quite like that in Negril (or Jam)..well we surprised my friend and decided to have dinner at xtabi-then the current shut down and it was more than miserable in the rooms it was unbearable and the restaurant was awful too....after about 5 hrs current finally on..put at this time me and my partner already decided to cut this negirl visit short and leave next day for st thomas...Not to offend you hardcore negril lovers but me and my partner thought the town looked so run-down and dirty-maybe no good rain in awhile to wash it up...the one word to describe it was "Shabby"...with nothing going on..I didnt one waste any of my precious vacation days there-
so on to St Thomas...
I'm the driver-its now my 5th time and i think am pretty good..you just got devote 100% to paying attention and being DEFENSIVE...I LOVE the freedom of driving but comes at a price-i cant site see like i would like too...and not ever driving the road to kingston from negril area I had a long drive..but what i got to see was alot of beauty and i was confirmed for my love for the bluefields area (been there -but quite awhile ago) What a beautiful place and setting..
Got to drive up the big hills of tree spur and on to mandeville,which i noticed more car dealer lots than i have any other place in jam..
we finally get on the main highway to Kingston (I've never been and my partner hadnt been in long time-and we forgot our map-gogin byt the seat of our pants....lol)we finally come to the toll booth-fist tool 70 jam..the highway one of the best i've been on anywhere but it seemd after just a short drive here we come to another tool booth and this time its triple the price from first..ok whatever..the road was perfect and no traffic..ok I'm into to this..
