Perhaps this pastor was merely (successfully) attempting to make news, but I find his portrayal of the non-lethal weapon kits to be off-base, at best.
My understanding is they are an alternative to lethal weapon (gun) use, not a replacement.
Also, the constable (Hanson) who was shot in Kingston was shot with his own gun, not because he only had non-lethal weapons.
"The JCF was last year presented with 3,500 non-lethal weapon kits, a gift " ... from the US.
