Gleaner cartoon today reminded my of LBB's discussion in the past of possibility of opening a jerk stand (maybe not the right term - a jerk pit on the corner somewhere)

Some people had cautioned (justly , IMO) that checking with locals in the area might be best approach b/c some might view the effort as "foreigner taking JA people's job".
I had agreed w/ that but also wondered if ANY type of business in JA might have to have the blessing of the local rudeboys.
That cartoon is really more about the MoBay president of the Chamber Of Commerce's recent comments and LBB's locale was not a big city like MoBay (think it was in Little London maybe), but still, I wonder if things run like that everywhere in JA.
