LOL…i remember the one mess i got when trying to log in: How dare you call me a racist on the board……LMAO..i dont think ii've EVER called ANYONE a racist in my life… it all had to to do with book about Jam..i was suggesting a book i just read-and made it very clear it wasnt all warm and fuzzy-not everyones cup-of-tea..but that i thought some might be interested in :The dead yard:tales of modern Jamaica…..
and me and Gerry G unexpectedly ran into each other in the pool at Seastar where we were both staying..we had a few laughs and similarities re: old skool music in LA.( i use to be a punkrocker back in the day) I like him-he's a genuine nice guy..and hell he's from S.Cali..my hood-how can not like the guy…lol
I grew up with mike ness and his brother-hung out with still good friends with adolescents, agent orange.DI. went to the fleetwood, starwood, madame wongs, germs, black flag, circle jerks, x-..…wasnt even a teen yet when i started going to gigs with my big bro.. then got more involved in the industrial scene.but always had friends from all kinds of music genres. now i work too much and just stay around the neighborhood: downtown fullerton-slidebar,etc ..when i have the energy to go out..just getting too old for late night shows.
saw my friends band the yeastie boys play down in your area a while ago..
"Why not. The board is not about the MOD, it is about the peeps. I have met many great people over there who I have hung out with on multiple trips, and I'm not going to check out cause of the Mod and his beotch. I have a love hate relationship with Negril as much as many others. I'll let you decide what falls in each bucket. "
I see your point - part of what you do and are in Negril is tied up with the good people you have met through that board, but don't ever feel bad about speaking your truth, as you did. I read your posts and saw nothing insulting or even disrespectful but that's just me. In the time you've been going to Negril the internet, particularly that board has had a lot to do with the way you travel there. Many of us, myself included, found Jamaica and Negril way before the internet - my relationships in Negril have all developed without the benefit of boards such as this and ova deh -the people I roll with I've met during my travels face to face and not on a travel board. But this board in particular has enriched my experience and given me the opportunity to talk with others who love the place as I do, yourself included Booger! Just remember to step away from the drama and I think you've learned who those truly good people are, the relationships that you want to nurture.
So - are you coming to JA in May or are you still seeking out the next place?
Wow he has really updated his baitch slapping letters of 'you are not following MY rules in MY Kingdom-Doesn't matter that you are telling the truth and I am not".
Remember the ones where he drove himself nuts talking to himself in circles and at the end posted,
"Do you agree or not?"..Of course if you didn't press agree you could not even read.
We all must have some of our 'letters' somewhere.
2 Messes over there. And not HOT ones.
Seriously though, as usual for Jamaica, he may gets away with his BS because, as he likes to tout, he owns the site. The NCC and sponsors are too busy to babysit him or give them breathalyzer tests. He is not respected and he probably knows it.
When is the last time we were given a history lesson of 'how much experience and knowledge he has and how he started it all' kind of post? Everyone else in Negril is lying.

Forget Charlie Sheen's "winning".....It should be "**G-R-I-N-N-I-N-G**
I found Treasure Beach to be very quiet also when I was there in early December (before season). The largest pocket of tourists were at Jakes (of course) - we had our hotel pretty much all to ourselves...since we are not dialed in there we didn't know of any night life or parties but we enjoyed the quiet, the no rush, the ill-paved roads (not to drive on but walking on them was reminiscent of the West End pre-2002). I liked it and will go back.
