Hi all.

I'll be in Negril for a week or so in (early) April. I will have friends staying at Catcha, Fun Holiday and Kuyaba, but I don't want to stay at any of those places, rather be close by - like nighttime walkable close - and significantly cheaper.

Any recs? I am kind of leaning towards the beach this time...I know I can do Catcha Gardens if I want to.

I'd like to keep it under $50.

Try Coral Seas across from Bourbon Beach,you should be able to get a room for 50 in April,quiet pool area,close to a store ,strong "free" wi fi signal.

Bourbon is completely different now. I was blown away when I walked in last month to get some food. Bathrooms are clean too.... I would have them shoot you some pics of their rooms as I have read that they have remodeled some.

Carribean Delight is between Merrils I and Grand Pinapple. Directly across the street from the Shamrock store.
I've also stayed there for years and endorse it 100% but it may be a bit more than you want to spend. Anyway the owners name is Deta 422-0339

Hidden Paradise is nice - they have a room with fridge, TV & wifi for $57 a night - $67 if you want breakfast included and that's your choice from the menu.

I stayed at Caribbean Delight many, many years ago. Deta accused me of stealing her crystal candlesticks from the room after I checked out. We had a pretty heated discussion right out front on the beach about it. Funny now that I think of it, but I was pretty pissed at the time, because I don't think there were even any candlesticks in the room.
