just spoke to a TSA representative in regards to taking the flat screen tv in my carry-on. She looked it up and said I can take it but most likely will be required to remove it and then send it thru the x-ray machine. She also said that it must fit into the allowed carry-on size that is allowed by my airlines. I just call Delta and they said that my first flight is a small plane and they will check the carry-ons, however if I tell them it is fragile they will secure it in a special place.
I also asked in regards to the mini microwave. I can not find the thread and forget who asked. The TSA agent told me that the mini microwave must be checked in and not permitted in the plane....so no carry-on.
Also chainsaws can be flown, but they must be brand new and secured in the original box.
TSA can be reached M-F 9am - 7pm EST at 1-866-289-9673.
