You don't want to get going too fast while descending the Blue Mtns.

Fat Tire Festival

This is far and away the BEST one. Sharp images. Multiple camera angles. Pro riders kicking it. Professional production by a team of riders/videographers (Trail Hunters) who travel the world looking for scenic places to ride. Mountain views. Bamboo forests. And just wait until you see all the Jamaican kids riding at the end.
Two Wheels. One Love.

Very interesting...the video you first pulled was made by a friend of mine looking to resurrect Mountain Biking in Negril. Another friend, along with a group of other avid Mountain Bikers brought the sport to Jamaica in the mid to late 90's and started an event in Negril called the Fat Tyre Festival which ran every year, the first week of February for about ten years. They coined the phrase "Two Wheels One Love". The event has since moved to St. Ann and that festival has been going ever since.
I met lots of great participants from all over the world at these events, even helped organize it in 2003. Always pros and amateurs from everywhere - three races - downhill, cross country and a road race that had a huge Jamaican participation. My friend was mentoring and coaching one young talented Jamaican athlete with the goal of getting him to the Olympics. In addition to the riding it was an action packed week that included the Donkey Races in Little Bay and culminated with PeeWees Birthday Party in Negril. Marshall Paul - the guy whose video you posted at first - is planning a reunion/new festival this winter I'm told. I know it will be a blast and welcomes all comers, pro and amateur, Mountain Biking enthusiasts of all kinds. Here's one from the blog...a look back at the Negril Fat Tyre Festival in its hey-day: https://westcountywestend.com/2011/07/10/a-look-back-the-negril-fat-tyre-festival/ "Once in a while you can get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right..."
