RG has a good point about asking what is ready or what is available. I started doing this on our last trip and helped.
One point that seems to have gotten a bit lost is the vacation time issue. I never wait until starving to seek out food in JA, it's a time issue for me. I don't like losing two hours of peak morning time waiting on pancakes. In the evening I really don't mind so much as we budget in two hours for dinner. We always go somewhere scenic that serves cold RS and we just chill. It's the breakfast thing that gets me. Its for this reason I have booked resorts on my next two trips that serve some sort of buffet on site. I will miss my favorite spots and not hitting them daily but I don't want to lose 1.0 to 2.0 hours of time each day.
