Not sure about the laws in your neck of the woods but capturing birds in nets for sale would land you in jail and probably a really high find if the wildlife resource agency got wind of it.
I read and interesting article a while back in National Geographic about Egypt (and other countries) and how the net birds to eat for not only food but some aphrodisiac effect and have almost decimated the population.
Don't really know much about lobsters but I assume the dates you can take them (season) allows and no catch time for the spawn/eggs to be deposited and repopulate. At least that is how most seasons on game/fish go.
