Booger
We booked the Aavalon through expedia. Jabailey used another popular site but not sure which one.
JaBailey had booked straight into the bungalows and got a good deal but I believe that is not always easy to find. I know I couldnt find it.
We started in the tower and asked to be upgraded and moved into the bungalows. The tower sucked we were next to the hotels AC unit and it was like sleeping at an airport
However - we were able to upgrade and they didnt charge us for the first night. I can't recall the price but im thinking about 120 -150 per night and most likely closer to 120. The towers had been about 70 which was more in our budget but upgrading and breaking our budget was worth every penny.
There are lots of nice hotels but only one that is an island unto itself like the Avalon. When we go back someday it will be hard to stay anywhere else after getting spoiled like that -
If you are going as a couple and want some romance it is worth it - if i was traveling solo or with friends it would not matter as much - however a group in the bugalows would be a blast.
They told us the best month to book is in OCT as that is when they have the sales.
If you do book I would call for bungalow prices - it would be worth the phone call.
Now if Kylake is the person who used to go there a lot - once he sees this thread you will get some really good info and hotel recommendations.
