After watching from the sidelines I will add just a few cents...I could be completely out to lunch and all wrong but I will suggest perhaps some of the "negative" comments directed to RG just might have something to do with the countless condescending remarks as well as the constant reminders of the 2 or 3 months you LIVE there I read from posts one after another. Even your last post has a subtle shot to all of us that stay in "hotel central" while we VACATION in Negril. On one hand you state you stay "out of the mix" but yet every time someone mentions something slightly controversial you either don't believe it until you "check with your peeps" to confirm, or if someone mentions a business you not only know them but are good friends with them, not only that but have been for a long time. You have mentioned the lack of water how many times in the last several months? Imagine what its like for the people that actually live there and don't have the option to pack up and return to their real home. How many people living up in Redground have a pool to suck water from to flush with when the water stops flowing? Maybe get off your pedestal and realize those people that are stuck staying in "hotel central" are probably loving it, and when they are paying $100+ a night its not unreasonable to expect running water. I think I will stop there. I know not all will agree with me but I also know there are some that will, but would rather not speak up. Now back to the Treasure Beach thread, where there is actually some worthwhile reading and helpful information for the travellers out there.
