If I may add one more thing..I dont understand when people get "hung-up-or peeved, or whatever negative attitude" when it comes to the plain and simple fact of describing how another human looks...Were all going to first describe what a person looks like based on their phenotype (obvious outward appearance) and their perceived genotype (their actual genetic makeup-or what we think)..I have a black friend who resents being called African American...shes black American she proudly says, her family have been in America longer then most-(before the birth of this nation-longer than my own family thats for sure) yes, her ancestors have probably come from Africa-..she says she has no direct connection with Africa-that she considers herself a "black-american women"..just as others would see an asian or latino ,Arabic, caucasion and describe them as such-even if they dont come directly from those countries, etc.(and i know of one black american friend whos just the opposite-shes offended if shes not called a "African-American" Theres no getting away from how a person will be described based on their obvious outward appearance and their perceived genetic background..At least not now...
I didnt mean to ruffle any feathers here..its an open board and those are my open thoughts.ok, am outta this thread now...
