I have many friends and family that are are very "multiracial" as far as race and cultures go..I myself, Norwegain, danish, black Irish ,native american and Mexican...
Some have more of an interest in one their backgrounds than they do another..But though they're interested in "where they came from"..Its not a huge deal...They dont dwell on it.Maybe cuz they're a younger generation ,maybe cuz their so "mixed"-but they say its 2012..lets move forward and not get hung up on the "race thing".. cuz for them it really doesnt matter..as the world becomes more connected (and yes , also tolerant) Race just isnt
an issue..And some are so mixed that there are no clear cut boundaries to which 'Race" they're suppose to "belong to"...(white, black, korean,East Indian) I think also living in LA-where there are people from many different places and backgrounds that move about amongst each other-that the "race" of someone is more and afterthought if one at all...
2012..lets progress forward as a "Human Race" and embrace whatever color we are and whatever background(s) we are from- but not let our "race"or "races" define us as human beings(a part of us yes)-let our actions, attitudes and how we treat are brothers and sisters as well as the rest of God's creatures define who we are...
