We flew in and it was laid back personified.
There were 3 taxi guys waiting at the airport, outside their cars sitting on a bench.
They saw us and it took a while for one of them to move.
It was like "your turn, no your turn, no your turn"
These guys were older gents and nobody wanted to move.
We hopped in one of the cabs and went to our little hotel.
We stayed in Christiansted.
We left our hotel one day, looking for some lively spots.
I was walking and I saw a few masts sticking up over some houses.
A harbor! There must be something going over there.
We found like a nice strip of restaurant and bars.
This one bar said they made their own beer and offered like 3 little glasses of different brews for tasting.
The Bartender was a cool dude.
He had something wrong with one of his leg, but he hopped around the bar well enough.
Real friendly guy. Always smiling.
We checked out of our hotel and checked into one that was right there on the water.
There was a little bitty island and beach that a guy with a little outboard motor boat , he would shuttle folks, maybe 50-100 yards out that beach.
I think he wanted like 2-3 bucks for the trip.
There was a nice little bar on the tiny island.
It was a cool trip.
