Several weeks ago I passed by that beach area across from HiLo - there were fishermen with nets (illegal here) pulling in something - I found out later that they had netted 5 reef sharks.
Totally harmless to humans.
So are nurse sharks. The shark caught off the coast near Citronella last year was the type that would bite a human but they are not agressive as long as you leave them alone.
Around the coast where I live in California we get Great Whites. There have been attacks on humans there but that is because they mistake the surfers for seals - because humans dress to surf by me, in waters that at most are 55 degrees. And when they put on a wet suit, booties and a hood they look JUST like a seal to the shark.
