Had a bit of bank card drama when my hotel charge wouldn't go through initially.
Apparently I had to let them know I was traveling to Jamaica ahead of time. Got it
resolved on a Monday morning after a weekend of unplanned frugality.
Rather than stay connected via the internet while away on vacation I mostly eschewed the news so I was incredulous to learn Kevin Garnett was a T-Wolf again when I got home. Being oblivious to the rest of the world while in Negril can be a mindbender.
Had a great pizza after sunset at the German Bar on the West End. Tried to order a Beck's or any German beer but the proprietor said costs associated with importing made it cost prohibitive. A movie projector displayed a German heavy metal band in concert on the two story building next door that seriously made KISS look like a Disneyland barbershop quartet. Shudder.
Swam out to Alfred's dock much to the dismay of the unseen couple sunning themselves on the deck. Unfortunately the lady got her top back on before I made it up the ladder. Yeah, I didn't stay long.
Typically I maintain snorkeling from the beach is a waste of time aside from the occasional giant seastar but on this occasion I tested my lungs and descended to the bottom beneath the dock and found a pretty fancy looking ladies ring with lots of stones I presumed to be costume jewelry so I gave it to my ja gf. Now we're engaged she say! What?! No, no I insist--it's just a likkle gift. But I will take that kiss...smooch smooch.
Money Cologne's Birthday Bash promised Sizzla as the headliner but as the show got later and later (after several hours of essentially nothing but annoying dj's) it became obvious King Yellowman would be closing the show. Yellowman's set seemingly hasn't changed in years. "I'm getting married in the morning...."
Luciano had a small crowd but he embraced those who were in attendance and it made for bit of a lovefest with a Rasta handing Luciano stick after stick of ganja as he sung. Luciano in turn handed them out to the crowd.![Smile Smile](https://jamericans.net/yellowboard/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Freddie Big Ship McGregor performed at MX3 with Marcia Electric Slide Griffiths and Judy Mowatt. Old school cool.
Regretted seeing dancehall's I-Octane. First time I ever recall attending a concert where every song was worse than the one that preceded it. It was a relentless attack and I left the venue thinking I desperately need oxygen.
