I had my lawn mower guy come here a couple of days ago, now I have about a sixteen foot by three foot perrenial flower garden against the side of my house, a combination of bee balm and white and pink cornflowers. The FOOL obliviated them with his tool for edges. I was so mad!!! Since the are perrenials they will eventually grow back, but probably not this summer. My front garden is looking really nice, I have lots of different kinds of irises, mostly different hues of purple, some yellow as well as some pretty big 'bleeding heart' plants, both white and pink.
We had a really horrendous winter this year, continually sub zero temperatures, it was awful and long lasting. I haven't even prepared my vegetable garden for planting yet. I think this year I won't plant as big of a garden as I usually do. Last year my cucumbers were rather bitter taste-wise. I have a long gravel driveway and quite a bit of gravel was plowed up into my garden area. So it is a mess! Still though, I am so happy for the weather to be nice at last -- it is getting harder and harder to deal with the nastiness of frigid weather as I get older.
